The idea behind Faith Shorts is to tailor a video message of support and encouragement based in Christianity and optimised for social media interaction.
Our belief is that social media can often be filled with content lacking empathy and which can also sometimes be cruel. We wish to counter this with messages of encouragement reflecting the love of Jesus.
We also believe that Christians are massively underserved on social media as there isn’t enough Christian content to serve the millions of Christians who use the platforms everyday.
Also in this age of news feed scrolling, much of the existing Christian content isn’t particularly accessible.
By editing our videos to be around 30 - 45 seconds long, adding subtitles and by changing the shape of the video for Facebook optimisation we are hoping more people will take the time to absorb the message.
We think the short sharp nature of the videos will enable us to build and retain an audience of Christians as well as reaching many non-Christians who are interested in exploring the faith.
